TOKYO, Apr 1, 2021 - (JCN Newswire) - Hitachi, Ltd. (TSE: 6501) announced that the operations of the Hida-Shinano frequency conversion facility have commenced, enabling the Shin-Shinano Substation of TEPCO Power Grid, Inc. (TEPCO) to be connected to the Hida Converter Station of Chubu Electric Power Grid Co., Inc. (Chubu Electric Power), to which Hitachi delivered a line commutate converter high-voltage direct current (HVDC) system.
The Hida-Shinano frequency conversion facility is a direct current transmission system with an interconnection capacity of 900MW, connecting the 60 Hz-based Chubu Electric Power area and the 50 Hz-based TEPCO area via an approximately 89 km long aerial cable. TEMPLE, TX â The Temple Police Department is asking for the public s help in identifying a vehicle linked to the theft of a catalytic converter.
The incident happened on March 11, 2021, near the 8200 block of South General Bruce Drive.
The department has had 26 cases of catalytic converter thefts since the beginning of the year, with some reports involving multiple vehicles targeted at one location.
TPD says the majority of the recent thefts involved catalytic converters from commercial or larger pickup trucks. However, suspects have targeted passenger vehicles as well.

According to Sgt. Dan Adams with Grand Rapids Police, theyâre getting them. Sgt. Adams says thefts of catalytic converters were way up in Kent County recently.
âItâs one of those things that we always seem to be fighting one way or another,â he said Tuesday. âIt causes around a thousand dollarsâ worth of damage to have it replaced.â
